Don't pass up Ken if you're looking for a great massage on the island. I ended up going back multiple times and would become a regular if I were local.
Ken is a skilled massage therapist who brings decades of experience with the earth and nature to his work. His insight regarding the human form is uncanny. In just 3 visits, he assisted my wife in completely reversing an indignant pain, which she had suffered with in her hip for over a year. Neither of us hesitates to refer others to Ken as he truly personifies the hands-on healing experience one looks to find in Hawaii.
Well, it's really nice to see I'm not the only one that recognizes Ken's amazing skills as a massage therapist, as well as the special experience of having a massage in his little studio in Captain Cook. Strong, firm stroke, worked my body into complete relaxation. Worth every penny and then some.
Ken has been in practice for many years and you get that during your massage. He'll work the areas you need and has a great sense of where your tension is. You won't be disappointed.
As for Ken's studio, I don't think I'd ever had a massage where I felt that nature was trying to relax me. We ended up having an evening massage and the sounds of birds and frogs almost put me to sleep. It was as if a relaxing CD has playing, but it was really nature.
Both my wife and I had a massage at the same time. Pauahi did her massage and it was awesome. Ken did mine and I was ready to go back for a second. Both we highly recommend, especially if you need 2 done at the same time.
When you pull up to Ken's for the first time, you're not sure what you're going to get. However, he's a great host and has a little studio on his property that takes your massage to the next level.

Yesterday I had the most amazing massage. Ken Kotner is phenomenal! His studio is easy to find. Over looking Kealakekua Bay. He has such healing hands. If you are looking for a relaxing and healing massage you must give Ken a try. I felt very comfortable and he really worked out my kinks
